2026 WPIAL baseball tournament: See brackets, matchups for Butler County teams
Butler has been one of the best baseball teams in the WPIAL and was rewarded as such with the top seed in the Class 6A tournament.
The district playoff brackets were released Friday, May 8, with the Golden Tornado scheduled to play host to No. 8 Mt. Lebanon on May 18 at North Allegheny High School. They are one of the four Butler County teams to make the WPIAL tournament, including Seneca Valley (No. 7 in 6A), Mars (No. 14 in 5A), Knoch (No. 8 in 4A) and Freeport (No. 4 in 3A).
The tournament begins May 11 and 12 in most classifications, with 6A starting a week later. The WPIAL championship games will be held May 26-27 at EQT Park.
Tickets for each game through the semifinals cost $7 for adults and $5 for students on GoFan.co ($7 for everyone at the gate), and the consotion and finals cost $10.
