Freeport girls lacrosse erupted in a 20-6 victory over Yough on Wednesday.

Sophia Glass led the onslaught with seven goals.

Macey Edwards added three goals and six assists. Alyssa Lovgren scored three times, and Kyleigh Rogers tallied 11 draw controls.

Abigail Legin made three saves in net for the win.

Cranberry scored 10 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to abbreviate a clash with Karns City, 13-3 in five innings.

Carley Conto doubled and scored two runs for the Gremlins (12-5).

Montour 18, Mars 5 — Alyson Mazurek totaled three hits and two RBIs for the Planets (2-13).

Mars trounced Chartiers Valley 20-1 thanks to six goals from Katie Blake and four from Anna McGrath. Lucy Balazs also had a hat trick.

Derry swept Mars by scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-19.
