Mars, Adams Township to hold fourth joint public hearing on merger July 28
Residents of Mars Borough and Adams Township will get another chance to voice their opinions about a proposed merger of the two municipalities at a joint public meeting planned at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28.
The meeting is the fourth since the municipal merger was announced in January.
Unlike the previous three joint public meetings, which were held at Twelve Oaks Mansion in Adams Township, this one will be held at the Adams Township municipal building.
Both municipalities have approved the joint agreement, which will dictate the terms of the merger if voters approve it. The municipal approvals allow the merger question to appear on the ballot for Mars and Adams Township residents during November’s general election.
Interested residents can RSVP for the meeting through Adams Township’s website.
