With the Pittsburgh Steelers jetting off to Paris for their Week 7 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, sports bars across Western Pennsylvania had to adjust their usual Sunday afternoon routines to accommodate a 9:30 a.m. kickoff.
One of the establishments was ShuBrew in Zelienople, which opened up at 9 a.m. for a “Yinz in Paris” Sunday brunch. To match the setting for the NFL’s first regular season game in France, ShuBrew offered a Paris-themed brunch menu, as well as bottomless mimosas and build-your-own Bloody Marys.
The Steelers ultimately won a hard-fought contest, 16-10.
This marks the second year in a row that the Steelers have flown to Europe for a game. Last September, their schedule took them to Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland for a game against the Minnesota Vikings, which they won 24-21.
