The 2026 Gene Capaldi Lens on Litter Photo Contest is open for submissions from now until Oct. 31.

Amateur photographer participants in the contest are urged to use their camera or mobile device to snap eye-catching examples of litter in their Pennsylvania communities.

Categories include Adult, Adult Before & After, Student (through grade 12) and Student (through grade 12) Before & After. Three cash prizes are awarded in each category, with the first-place winner receiving $500, second-place $250 and third-place $100. To qualify in the Before & After categories, cleanup efforts must be registered with Keep PA Beautiful’s Pick-Up PA Program at keeppabeautiful.org/programs/pick-up-pa/.
