The PIAA boys volleyball tournament continues Saturday, and Butler (18-5) is hoping to extend its season into the Class 3A semifinals with another win.

Here’s what to know about the Tornado’s matchup against Neshaminy.

Class 3A: 7-2 Butler vs. 1-2 Neshaminy

Site/time: Bald Eagle High School, 1 p.m. Saturday

Up next: Winner of 6-1 State College vs. 7-1 North Allegheny

Golden Tornado’s key player: Andrew Slaugenhoup joins Zane Steimer as key attackers for Butler, though Golden Tornado coach Lew Liparulo said: “I always mention the passing first, serve receive and defense — because that’s where it all starts.”

Slaugenhoup carries WPIAL Class 3A first-team plaudits into the quarterfinal matchup.

Skins’ key player: Senior setter Bobby Majka has been a hitter’s best friend this season, racking up efforts of 57 assists against Council Rock North and 56 against Central Bucks West earlier this season, respectively ranking second and third all-time in a single match for Neshaminy.

Butler wins if ... it plays with the same enthusiasm it did in its five-set, first-round win over Dallastown. Liparulo’s team had a long layoff between that matchup and its WPIAL Class 3A championship tilt with North Allegheny, but obviously wasn’t fazed despite not being able to even set up a scrimmage.
