Kentucky residents facing prostitution charges

A man and woman from Kentucky facing prostitution charges in Cranberry Township were trying to profit from the NFL draft in Pittsburgh, according to police.

Barry D. Brumley, 22, and his girlfriend Hillary F. Sanders, 31, both of Louisville, were arrested by township police working undercover Thursday, April 23.

While investigating prostitution activity in the township, a detective found an advertisement on the website www.escortalligator.com that displayed nude photos of Sanders, according to an affidavit.

The detective contacted Sanders, agreed to pay $300 for sexual activity and to meet her in a room at a hotel. After arriving at the room, Sanders took the money and was arrested, according to the affidavit.

In the room, police said they found about 80 condoms, personal cleansing wipes, cellular devices and a loaded 9 mm pistol.

Brumley was found in the parking lot in Sanders vehicle, also with a loaded 9 mm pistol. Neither have valid permits to carry concealed firearms, according to the affidavit.

Sanders told police she and Brumley were in the area to make money from prostitution during the draft, according to the affidavit.

Sanders — who has been charged with felony counts of promoting prostitution and criminal use of a communication facility; and misdemeanor counts of promoting prostitution and possession of an instrument of crime — is being held in Butler County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Brumley is facing felony charges of promoting prostitution and firearms not to be carried without a license and is also being held in the jail in lieu of $40,000 bail.
