Cranberry Township looking to bring in ‘The Wall that Heals’
Cranberry Township has submitted an application to bring a scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to the township.
The Wall that Heals is a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., designed to travel to communities throughout the nation. The replica is 375 feet in length and stands 7.5 feet high at its tallest point, according to its website, and honors more than 58,000 service members who died during the Vietnam War.
Bringing the wall to Cranberry Township will take 175 to 200 volunteers, so the township is accepting emails to join the team. To become a volunteer to bring the wall to the township around next September, email Michael Peuler at Peulertwth@gmail.com.
According to the township, the volunteer committee will meet once a month until the wall is brought to Cranberry Township.
