CRANBERRY TWP — At Thursday’s agenda preparation meeting, township officials moved a number of items forward for a vote at the board of supervisors meeting on Aug. 6.

Supervisors will consider adoption of an amendment to the township’s ordinance governing animals.

A draft version of the amendment outlines proposed additions in regards to “the keeping of livestock, exotic animals, or fowl, excluding roosters” as an accessory use in all residential zoning districts.

The board will also be asked to vote on a contract award worth $111,605 to Guyer Brothers for a storm sewer rehabilitation project on Joan Street.

Previously, the township had voted to advertise for bids for the project, which aims to refurbish stormwater infrastructure in the surrounding neighborhood, at its June 25 meeting.

Michael Malak, township director of engineering and environmental services, said the township’s budget for the project was $180,000.

Notably, multiple applications for the Meeder mixed use development will be up for approval at the meeting, including preliminary development approval and final land development approval for phases 1, 2 and 3.

Also, Henry Farms, a planned residential development on about 85.7 acres located off Darlington, Powell and Rochester roads, will have its planned residential development approval up for vote.
