Franklin Road in Cranberry Township will undergo pavement patching next week.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced Thursday, July 30, pavement patching will begin on Franklin Road at 9 a.m. Aug. 6.

The patching will continue through 7 p.m. Aug. 8 between the intersections of Route 228 and Peters Road.

Single-lane alternating traffic with flaggers will be set up during that time.

The work is a continuation of the Franklin Road Corridor Safety Improvement Project, which includes shoulder widening, installation of edge-line rumble strips and sight distance improvements along Franklin Road.

The four-year, $19.1 million project is projected to be completed by November 2027, according to PennDOT.
