Police investigating apparent murder-suicide in Seven Fields, Cranberry Township

Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide believed to have happened overnight in the area of Graywyck Drive in Seven Fields and neighboring Cranberry Township.

The Northern Regional Police responded early Tuesday morning, April 28, to find a woman’s body at the Seven Fields home, and later located a man dead in the woods nearby in Cranberry Township.

Northern Regional Police Chief Bryan DeWick said the incident appears to be a “domestic situation” where the man shot the woman.

The woman was found following a roughly 1:15 a.m. response to the home, and the man was located in the woods nearby about an hour later with the use of thermal drones.

DeWick said there is no public safety threat.

The Butler County Coroner Korynne Young said her office was responding Tuesday morning, April 28, to an investigation underway in Seven Fields.

State police will take over the investigation.

This is a developing story.
