A summary from the Butler County Bureau of Elections shows that out of 138,531 registered voters in Butler County, 36,323 voters cast ballots in the primary election on Tuesday, April 23, representing a voter turnout of a little more than 26%.

In total, 12,928 Democratic ballots were cast, and 23,395 Republican ballots were cast this election, representing 32.50% of registered Democrats and 29.60% of registered Republicans. Because it was a primary election, only people registered as a Democrat or as a Republican could cast ballots.
