PennDOT to begin Route 68, 228 paving Monday

PennDOT is about to begin paving and resurfacing on Routes 68 and 228 in Chicora and Summit, Oakland and Clinton townships.

The state Department of Transportation said Butler County residents can expect paving to begin Monday, April 13, and continue through July 17.

Impacted roads include: Route 68 in Chicora and Donegal Township just east of the Chicora borough line to Glennford Village Road; Route 68 in Summit and Oakland townships from the interchange with Route 422 to Victory Road; and Route 228 in Clinton Township from Victory Road to South Pike Road (Route 356).

Additional information will be released prior to the start of each project to alert motorists to any potential traffic delays. During construction, drivers can expect single lane closures with flagging. Work is weather dependent.
