Easton Bazzoli, a 2013 Seneca Valley graduate and current head coach of Gannon University men’s basketball, has guided the Golden Knights to the NCAA Division II national championship game.

Gannon (33-3) will take on Lander University (30-5) for the title at 1 p.m. Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The Golden Knights have scored at least 100 points in 13 games this season. They defeated IUP (81-74) in the Atlantic Regional championship game March 17, then dispatched Michigan Tech (75-49) in the Elite 8 and Oklahoma Baptist (98-80) in a national semifinal on Friday.

Prior to being named head coach at Gannon in April 2024, Bazzoli was an assistant coach for six years at Union University, a Division II school in Tennessee, and for one season at Gannon under head coach Jordan Fee.

In his two seasons of leading the Golden Knights, Bazzoli has compiled a record of 60-10.
