Butler boys volleyball dominates Latrobe, Tornado girls lacrosse falls in openers: Roundup

Junior Jacob Proudfoot had 10 kills and Avery Rudolph dished out 26 assists as Butler boys volleyball opened the season with a sweep of visiting Latrobe on Friday.

Jaeden Malacaman and Maddox McCall both tallied 11 digs while Zane Steimer and Rudolph combined for six blocks.

The Golden Tornado won by scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-20.

Butler visits Mars on Tuesday.

Seneca Valley 3, Central Catholic 0 — The Raiders swept the Vikings by scores of 25-8, 25-18 and 25-18. No other details were available.

Boys tennis

Butler received a singles victory from Ryan Conaway, but the Golden Tornado dropped a 4-1 decision to host Kiski Area.

Girls lacrosse
