Independence Health System debuts upgraded imaging, expanded specialty care in Seven Fields
Independence Health System announced Wednesday that it completed a major renovation of its outpatient services suite in Seven Fields, adding advanced imaging technology and expanded specialized care at its 100 Northpointe Circle location.
The undertaking brought in two new Canon Medical systems — a Vantage Orian 1.5T MRI and an Aquilion Lightning CT scanner — to provide clearer images, faster diagnostics and a quieter experience for patients.
The upgrades also allow the site to offer more advanced MRI exams for breast and prostate imaging, along with CT scans for lung screening, angiography and heart calcium scoring.
Renovations began in February and were funded through the system’s capital improvement program, according to the news release. Upgrades include new flooring, lighting, refurbished waiting and dressing rooms, improved restrooms and updates to the on-site lab.
Along with the imaging enhancements, the health system expanded pelvic health therapy services. That will help treat a range of bladder and pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, postpartum discomfort and obstetrical pain.
Lactation services were also added, providing education and support for breastfeeding mothers. New patients are being accepted, though referrals are required for infant evaluations and treatment, according to the news release.
“This latest upgrade reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, expert care to the communities we serve,” said Matt Schnur, president of Butler Memorial and Clarion hospitals.
The Seven Fields location also provides walk-in EKG, lab and X-ray services from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m on weekdays. CT scans, MRIs and ultrasounds are offered only through appointment by calling 724-284-4000.
