Seneca Valley School District’s board appointed Samantha Flanhofer as the next assistant principal for Ryan Gloyer Middle School.

Flanhofer, a Gibsonia resident, has worked in several roles at Mars Area School District over the past 10 years, including an interim assistant principal, a fourth grade teacher at Mars Elementary School and a life skills teacher at Mars High School.

Flanhofer will replace Rob Rasso, who retired from the district after 35 years in various positions.

“Her accomplishments as an educator and academic leader make her an excellent fit for Seneca Valley as we continue to raise the bar for student success,” deputy superintendent Sean McCarty said in a news release. “She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience, that will enhance the great team at Ryan Gloyer Middle School.”
