A Butler man is accused of multiple sexual assaults against a 12-year-old girl in Cranberry Township.

Justin J. Gizler, 36, is accused of assaulting the girl from February to December 2020. Police conducted interviews with the now-16-year-old girl on March 31.

Police said Gizler, in two instances, inappropriately touched the girl while she slept. In multiple other instances Gizler, allegedly performed sexual acts on the girl and had her perform them on him. He also made her take several pregnancy tests, according to police.

Gizler is charged with nine felony counts of corruption of minors; seven felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor; six felony counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault; a count of felony child endangerment; and three misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure.

Gizler’s preliminary hearing before District Judge Kevin Flaherty is pending.
