Tourism spending in Butler County increases for 5th year to $793.6 million

Butler County visitor spending increased for the fifth year in a row to $793.6 million in 2025 according to a new report from Visit PA.

According to Experience Butler County, the county’s tourism bureau, Butler County’s visitor spending grew by over $25 million compared with Visit PA’s 2024 report. The report divides spending into five categories, and the county saw continued growth in each.

The report tallied $189.2 million spent on food and beverages; $136.5 million in retail spending; $81.5 million on lodging; $163.4 million in recreation and $222.9 million in transportation.

“This report reflects the tremendous and consistent growth our county is seeing,” said Amy Pack, president of Experience Butler County. “Every year we welcome new and expanding tourism businesses, elevating Butler County as a premier destination for our state.”
