Cranberry Township’s second annual rib cook-off will happen in September
The second annual 16066 BBQ Bash will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Cranberry Township Municipal Center’s Armstrong Great Lawn, 2525 Rochester Road.
The event features a rib cook-off competition, and will be set up at 8 a.m. Cooking will commence at 9 a.m. Entries will be judged by a panel of township officials and invited guests at 3 p.m., after which, winners will be announced.
Interested applicants can sign up as individual residents, neighborhood groups, nonprofit groups or companies.
The township will provide on rack of ribs, a table and two chairs per entry, but participants are expected to bring their own cooking supplies or pop-up tents.

Attendees can also purchase barbecue, sweet treats and beverages from several local vendors who will set up shop on site.
The event also features live music from The Delaneys, a fire demonstration from the township’s Volunteer Fire Company, yard games and an obstacle course for kids.
