Death of 8-year-old investigated in Mercer County

Police are investigating the death of an 8-year-old that occurred at 392 Slater Road, Stoneboro, Mercer County Aug. 14. A mishap with farm equipment led to the incident, according to police.
The 8-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:15 a.m. The Mercer County Coroner’s office determined the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head and ruled it accidental.
No further information has been released at this time.
