Man charged with DUI following rollover crash with 2 young passengers in Middlesex Township

A man is accused of driving under the influence in a July 10 rollover crash in Middlesex Township, where two children were passengers.

Dillon Dimitri Liko, 43, of Valencia, was charged Wednesday, July 22, by Middlesex Township police with two misdemeanor counts each of DUI and reckless endangerment related to the crash.

Police said one of the juveniles wanted Liko to “go fast,” which may have led to him to lose control of the vehicle on a curve on Deer Creek Road. Police also said Liko showed signs of impairment and had a blood alcohol content of 0.246%. The legal limit Pennsylvania is 0.08%.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Deer Creek and Love roads. The vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole, landing on its roof. The crash sheared the utility pole and caused wires to fall onto the road, police said.

The two juveniles exited the vehicle by themselves. EMS was evaluating them when the police arrived.

Liko’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
