Verizon customers in Butler County experiencing outages
Verizon customers in Butler County may be experiencing outages Tuesday, May 5.
According to Verizon, data, voice, text and wireless home internet are limited in the Butler area. The company’s website said there is a known issue, and Verizon is working on a solution.
“Fiber cuts in Western Pennsylvania are preventing some wireless customers from connecting to the Verizon network,” a Verizon representative said. “Our engineers are actively working to solve the issue. We know how important reliable communication is and apologize for this inconvenience.”
It said most outages are resolved within 12 hours, but customers can check their network status on Verizon’s website.
Butler County Emergency Services said residents should still be able to text 911, but residents should not attempt to test their phone by calling 911.
