Man accused of selling drugs out of Cranberry Township hotel
Two Beaver County residents are accused of selling drugs out of a Cranberry Township hotel.
David Lee Lyons, 64, of Beaver Falls, and Crystal Dallas, 46, of Koppel, were charged last week after an investigation by the Butler County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force into possible drug deals happening at The Extended Stay America hotel.
Both were charged last week by Butler County detectives with two felony counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances following a March 31 incident.
They are each being held in Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail. Both have preliminary hearings scheduled for 10 a.m. April 24 before District Judge Kevin Flaherty.
Detectives said they executed a search warrant on a room at Extended Stay America, where they encountered Lyons in the hall and saw him attempt to hide a small bag of suspected crack cocaine.
Police said Lyons had about 5.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine, about 1 gram of suspected heroin, a small bag of marijuana, eight 5 mg. Oxycodone pills and $1,045.
According to police, Dallas was found in the hotel room with suspected crack cocaine, a digital scale, four cell phones and assorted drug paraphernalia.
