A second bald eaglet hatched Tuesday, March 31, from the eagle nest at the U.S. Steel’s Mon Valley Works-Irvin Plant in West Mifflin. The first egg hatched Sunday.

The adult eagles, Irvin and Stella, still have one egg in their nest. The two eaglets mark the ninth and tenth to hatch in the nest, which was built in a tree along the Monongahela River in 2019.
