7 Brew, tire shop planning Cranberry Township shops

A 7 Brew drive-through coffee house and an America’s Tire are making plans to open shops in Cranberry Township.

Developers for both projects are scheduled to make their pitches for conditional use approvals and preliminary land development plans on March 30 to the township planning advisory commission.

7 Brew, founded in 2017 in Rogers, Arkansas, and named after its original menu of seven coffee drinks, is looking to build a shop at the site of the former Pizza Roma Family Restaurant on Route 19, said Ron Henshaw, township planning and development services director.

Plans include a small, 1,770 square foot shop with two stacking lanes that can accommodate almost 50 vehicles and a third bypass lane, Henshaw said. 7 Brew is a drive-through only business that does not have sit-down service, he added.

America’s Tire, part of the company that owns Discount Tire, is part of the proposed North Pointe at Cranberry development that would have access from American Way, Route 19 and through the Home Depot parking lot.

The tire shop is the only confirmed tenant, but the development includes space for a 56,000 big box retail store, a small drive through business and a residential development, which would be developed in separate phases. The residential part would have a separate developer, Henshaw said.

If the commission approves the conditional uses and preliminary land developments plans, both projects will come before the township supervisors on April 30. Conditional use hearing would be held for both projects.

In addition, 7 Brew would seek approval of preliminary and final land development plans. North Pointe would seek approval of a preliminary land development plan, but would have to return for final land development plan approval for each phase.

7 Brew’s construction could start this summer, Henshaw said.
