PIAA boys lacrosse season preview 2026: Meet the top 13 players to watch in Butler County

An offense capable of burying opposing teams has been a hallmark of Mars boys lacrosse's current run of nine consecutive WPIAL Class 2A titles.

The onslaught shows no sign of letting up with seniors Jack Tirch and Grant Weaver back to lead the way.

An attack, Tirch paced the Planets with 67 goals last year while Weaver, an attack/midfielder, tallied 30 goals and 32 assists.

“It's a huge confidence-builder for the team to have those two guys back,” Mars coach Bob Marcoux said. “A lot of Jack's goals have been set up by Grant, and we're expecting them to pick up where they left off.”
