Seneca Valley hosting 12th annual Raiderthon
Seneca Valley Senior High Student Council is hosting its 12th annual Raiderthon — an evening of fundraising and community spirit supporting the Miracle League of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Raiderthon, which is open to the public, is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 20, at Seneca Valley Senior High School, 128 Seneca School Road in Jackson Township.
The senior high lobby and hallways will have club/sport-run carnival booths, a face painter, airbrush tattoo artist and a balloon artist. The gym will feature a staff vs. students basketball game, and the cafeteria will have yard games and bingo. Refreshments will include Chick-fil-A, pizza, Philly Pretzel Factory, Marburger drinks, Dairy Queen Dilly Bars and more.
The Miracle League provides the opportunity for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities to play organized baseball.
Many Seneca Valley students play and volunteer at the organization, and, over the years, thousands of people have attended Raiderthon, raising over $100,000. This year, the student council has a goal to raise more than $15,000.
Student and adult tickets are $5; preschool-age children and under are admitted free. To purchase advance tickets, visit gofund.me/030b7ca4d.
