Butler volleyball stomps Mars to start season 2-0, Seneca Valley also wins 2nd: Roundup
Butler boys volleyball is off to a 2-0 start after sweeping Mars 3-0 Tuesday at Mars.
The Golden Tornado won each set 25-10, 25-18, 25-11. Andrew Slaugenhaup had 11 kills and two blocks in the win, with Avery Rudolph dishing out 21 assists. Jaeden Malacaman had 17 digs. Kohl Salata had three aces and two digs.
Mars got three kills apiece from Glenn Jensen and Will Suppa, who added two aces.
Central Catholic 3, North Catholic 1 — Senior outside hitter Chris Ramaley tallied 15 kills and two blocks for the Trojans. Logan Mueser added 10 kills.
The Vikings earned the win by scores of 26-24, 27-29, 25-19 and 25-20.
Seneca Valley 3, Armstrong 1 — The Raiders moved to 2-0 with this win on the road. No other details were available.
