CRANBERRY TWP — Township supervisors, during a meeting Thursday, Feb. 5, unanimously passed motions to approve five separate equipment purchases.

The first of those was for residential trash carts and lids from Rehrig Pacific Company, Inc. for $80,000.

The second purchase approval was for two Ventrac tractors to be used by the grounds maintenance division of public works in the amount of $62,708.

The last three purchase approvals were for the replacement of multiple vehicles. The first is a 2010 Ford F-250. It will be replaced by a 2026 F-350 for $80,995, paid to Laurel Motors Inc. The second vehicle to be replaced is a 2011 International Terrastar commercial work truck. It will be replaced by a 2026 Ford F-600 with a Fit-Out Package totaling $152,581. The final purchase was for a 2026 Ford Explorer for $46,031 from Tri-Star Motors, which will replace a 2019 edition.

All of the purchases were already included in the township’s 2026 budget.

Following the purchases of replacement vehicles, the Ford F-250 and the 2011 International Terrastar will be auctioned off at an electronic municipal auction. The 2019 Ford Explorer will be transferred to the township’s police department.
