Railroad crossing repaired in Adams Township
The Buffalo and Pittsburgh Railroad has completed repairs to a crossing on a section of railroad it owns at Mars/Evans City Road in Adams Township. Repairs started around Jan. 8, according to a Facebook post from Adams Township.
According to company spokesman Tom Ciuba, repairs to the crossing were made necessary after a vehicle accident in November 2025.
“In November, a trash truck struck the overhead signal bridge when attempting to drive across the crossing, resulting in extensive damage,” Ciuba said. “Due to the specific material needed to complete the repairs, there was significant lead time. The repairs were completed in full last week, and the automatic warning devices were fixed and are now back in service.”
