Dozens of new businesses set to open in Cranberry Township
Cranberry Township’s dining scene is set to expand in the coming months, with several new restaurants preparing to open along the township’s busiest commercial corridors.
Among the most anticipated additions is Shake Shack, which is slated to open along Route 19, bringing its burgers, fries and shakes to the area.
“They just got permits,” said Ron Henshaw, Cranberry’s director of planning and development services. “They are, I would say, well under construction for their interior build out. They’ve got a few more months to go for sure, I would imagine, but I don’t have an opening date yet.”
Wingstop is also coming to 1713 Route 228, adding another fast-casual option focused on wings and sides. An opening date, however, has not been set for the chain that operates more than 2,300 locations across the country.
Several Asian-inspired eateries are also on the way. Hibachi Express plans to open at 20325 Route 19, while Shoku Next Door is set to open at some point soon in Cranberry Mall.
Vitalia Wood Fired Pizza is preparing to open on Freedom Road, providing a sit-down option for one of America’s popular foods.
The new restaurants, however, are only part of a broader wave of businesses opening throughout the township.
Multiple beauty and wellness services are scheduled to open, including Rose Nail & Co., Love EB Beauty, Hair Precision Studio, Zen Bodyworks and Rooted in Movement, which focuses on movement-based fitness.
Health care services are also expanding, with Forefront Dermatology Clinic relocating to the former Rite Aid building along Route 19.
Retail and specialty shops joining the township include Petagogy, a pet-focused retailer with treats and toys, and Sweetwater Decor, a home decor shop opening along 1241 Freedom Road.
Rooted in Movement, a ballroom and wellness studio, just opened at 8001 Rowan Road, Suite 200.
Professional offices and business services are also on the way, including Regus, Bench Law Limited and WRA Engineering, alongside several construction and industrial-related businesses such as McClure Co., Carroll Construction Supply, Continental Tool Group, ABM Industries and McMurray Cooling & Heating.
Henshaw said all of the businesses are expected to open at some point this year, with most opening dates still to be determined.
