Adams Area Fire District engine involved in crash
Cranberry Township police confirmed an Adams Area Fire District engine was involved in a crash Monday, Dec. 1, in Cranberry Township.
The Adams fire engine was responding to a call for a potential structure fire around 9:15 a.m. when it was involved in the crash, according to Jason Safreed, president of Adams Area Fire District.
Two passenger vehicles were involved along with the fire engine near the intersection of Route 228 and Route 19.
Lt. William Ahlgren said Cranberry Township police are investigating the incident. Callery Volunteer Fire Company and Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company also responded to the incident, according to Butler County Emergency Services dispatch reports. Crews were on the scene for just over two hours.
