Sally Ohl
Sally Marie Ohl, 78, of Adams Township, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, with her loving family at her side.
Born Sept. 19, 1947, in Grove City, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva (Lavorini) Labor.
Sally graduated from Grove City High School in 1965 and earned her Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Slippery Rock University in 1969. She taught first and second grades at Grove City Elementary School before dedicating herself full-time to fostering a warm, joyful home for her husband, Brent, and sons, Greg and Ryan.
A devoted follower of Christ, Sally attended St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Butler. She volunteered actively with the Butler County Soccer Association for over 18 years and was a founding sponsor of the soccer complex in 1989, proudly opening Ohl Field. Sally was also a member of the Butler Country Club since 1983.
Sally cherished family vacations, with Hilton Head Island topping the list, savoring sun-drenched beaches, toes in the sand and an icy piña colada in hand. Holidays thrilled her, none brighter than Christmas, filling her home with festive decorations, shimmering lights and enjoying feasts steeped in her Italian roots.
A hostess with a selfless heart, Sally welcomed friends into their home with open arms, always asking about their lives and ensuring everyone felt truly cared for. She loved dancing the night away, sipping cabernet, and cheering loudly from the sidelines as her sons played soccer — from childhood games to college triumphs.
Above all, Sally’s heart belonged to her loved ones. She adored her grandchildren, Roman and Siena, and found pure bliss in family gatherings reuniting with siblings scattered across the country. Her nurturing spirit, boundless love and warm hugs will be deeply missed and eternally remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 52 years, Brent Ohl; her sons, Gregory (April) Ohl and Ryan Ohl; her grandchildren, Roman and Siena; her brother, Doug (Mary “St. Mary”) Labor; her sisters, Gloria (Lou) Caputo, Freddie (Dave) Hannan, Stacy (the late Kerry) Sanguigni and Doreen (Trip) McBride; brother-in-law, Ronn (Julie) Ohl; and numerous nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
