State Rep. Stephenie Scialabba, R-12th, will host a firearms safety and rights seminar from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Mars VFW, 331 Mars Valencia Road.

The event will feature presentations from Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe and District Attorney Richard Goldinger, who will discuss firearm laws and responsible gun ownership.
