The Mars Area School District board has appointed Hope Schreiber as the new assistant principal at Mars Area High School.

Schreiber succeeds Doug Skelley, who resigned after three years to become a principal in another district. She was previously an assistant principal at Sto-Rox Junior/Senior High School and a mathematics teacher in both Pittsburgh Public Schools and South Carolina.

A graduate of La Roche College and Point Park University, Schreiber has also coached girls basketball at the varsity and middle school levels at Sto-Rox and was a girls varsity basketball assistant coach at Deer Lakes High School.
