Miller Minutes: Plenty to do in Butler County amid Pumpkin Spice Latte season
Whether you fancy maple, apple, pumpkin or cinnamon, you’re going to be seeing a lot of it for the next few months.
Fall drink menus have launched at coffeehouses nationwide, ushering in a flavor explosion fit for flannel season.
We have previously had the pumpkin vs. apple debate and the s’mores vs. cinnamon debate, and it has proven to be a great conversation starter. Fireside chats of this type will be had repeatedly, and the sun will sink earlier with each passing day.
The pumpkin spice latte was “invented” in 2003. Unbeknownst to Starbucks, this sowed the seeds of revolution. Not only has this seasonal beverage become the subject of books and academic papers, but is the subject of T-shirts, key chains and Halloween costumes.
People have gone PSL crazy (yes, it’s so important it gets abbreviated now). The madness shows no signs of slowing and leaves a trail of caffeinated crazies in its wake.
While the weather is pushing us to purchase more PSLs, summer isn’t over yet. The events you see below will prove that. So get up and get going, you won’t want to miss them, and make sure to grab a yummy drink at the local coffee shop on the way.
