Community Park North construction closes Cranberry’s old dog park
Bella, right, Ryder and other dogs romp Saturday at the Cranberry Rotary Dog Park in Cranberry Community Park in 2020.
Cranberry Township’s old dog park and nearby parking lots at the Community Park are now permanently closed as construction begins on a 10-acre improvement project.
The Raider Pride Shelter is also closed, though Cranberry’s Rotary Dog Park and its parking lot will remain open.
Plans include three new grass fields and a 2,400-square-foot restroom and pavilion, funded in part by a $2.8 million Land and Water Conservation Fund grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
Thomas Construction, Shipley Plumbing and McCurley Houston Electric will carry out the work.
