Community fun was on offer Saturday, July 12, at day three of the Cranberry Township Community Days.

The Cranberry Foundation, formerly the Cranberry Township Community Chest, organizes the event each year to support the organization’s Project of the Year, which in previous years has included renovations in public spaces, outdoor activities and volunteer initiatives. This year’s initiative was announced at the event.

Day three included events from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. with a pancake and sausage breakfast and Cranberry Chase 5K — not to be attempted at the same time — before the carnival and booths opened at 1 p.m. Kids festivities took the spotlight from 1 to 4 p.m. until live music began. Pyrotecnico closed the night with a fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. before carnival booths close at 11 p.m.
