Two residential developments proposed for Jackson Township

JACKSON TWP — The board of supervisors held public hearings during its monthly meeting Thursday, May 15, on two planned residential developments seeking tentative approval.

The first, Paige Pointe, would consist of 66 townhomes and 99 single-family lots off Gudekunst Road. According to Ed Moore of Sheffler & Company, the project would consist of a three-phase construction.

The second, Virginia Village, would consist of 121 townhomes on 15.5 acres of property off Evans City Road. Moore said Virginia Village would be built in two phases, with the first consisting of 50 townhomes toward the rear of the plan and the second consisting of the remaining 71 units.

Although each development plan was submitted by a different company, plans for both developments were presented by the same engineering firm, Sheffler & Company.

No action was taken on either development during Thursday’s meeting. However, the township’s planning commission did recommend tentative approval at its own hearing in April.
