Closures planned for turnpike ramp to I-79 at Cranberry
Residents should be aware of ramp closures at the turnpike’s Cranberry interchange overnights from Monday, May 12, to Thursday, May 15.
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises drivers to plan for overnight ramp closures for those exiting Interstate 76 at Exit 28 and continuing onto Interstate 79. The closures are part of planned repair and maintenance work on the interchange.
The ramp will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the four nights of planned work.
Drivers trying to get from the turnpike to I-79 should take the recommended detour following the exit to U.S. 19 North, driving to Route 228, turning right and then following signs for I-79.
The full interchange project is planned to be complete in October.
