CRANBERRY TWP — A van crashed into an Allegheny Health Network orthopedic office Tuesday afternoon, May 6, leaving six people with minor injuries and shattering the building’s front entrance.

The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the AHN Orthopedic Institute & Therapy Services outpatient office, 20215 Route 19.

Five patients in the waiting area suffered minor injuries, were treated on-site and sent home, according to a statement provided by AHN. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Although the building’s glass doors and windows were destroyed, no structural damage was reported.

“AHN staff are contacting patients to reschedule appointments at neighboring facilities, and the office is expected to reopen later this week,” AHN said.
