Seneca Valley students earn information technology recognition
The National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) recently recognized two Seneca Valley Senior High School seniors, Isabella Muthler and Heather Schwartz, with the Aspirations in Computing High School Award.
The award recognizes students in grades nine through 12 who show an interest in computing and technology. Awardees are chosen for their demonstrated interest and achievements in computing, proven leadership ability, academic performance and plans for post‑secondary education, according to a news release from Seneca Valley School District.
Muthler and Schwartz are the 2025 Western Pennsylvania affiliate winners. The award is an effort by volunteers from Saint Francis University; Penn State University, New Kensington; University of Pittsburgh; Carnegie Mellon University; and All Clear Translations.
