Five Mars Area High School students competed in the 2025 Butler County Envirothon, held by the Butler County Conservation District.

Seniors Zachary Angoff, Logan Balfour and Colin Stevenson and juniors Andy Diaz and Xavier Bossolla earned seventh place in the competition, held on April 29 at Alameda Park.

The competition tests high school students on their knowledge of several environmental topics, including soil and land use, aquatic ecology, forestry and wildlife.
