Mars Centennial students collecting birthday box donations

Students at Mars Area Centennial School are collecting birthday supplies as part of a community service project to benefit local families in need.

The school’s JAM club, which “encourages kindness, creativity, compassion and empathy, both in the school and the community,” is seeking donations, such as cake mixes, icing, candles, cake pans, cards, plates, napkins, plasticware, plastic tablecloths, small stuffed animals and small toys.

The supplies may be dropped off during school hours, Monday through Friday, at the school’s main office, 100 Winfield Manor Drive, Adams Township.

The supplies will be assembled into “birthday boxes” and will be donated to the St. Kilian food pantry.
