Stricter e-Bike enforcement coming to Cranberry Township
Improper use of e-bikes and other electric recreational vehicles continues to be a problem in Cranberry Township, according to the township’s police department, creating safety risks and property damage.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, Sept. 8, the department said stricter enforcement will against violations will be in place, including citations and vehicle impoundment when permitted by law.
The department encouraged parents and guardians to talk to their children about electric recreational vehicle rules and regulations.
The announcement comes after several months of community outreach effort to spread awareness about the matter, both directly to residents and by circulating messages in township spaces, the Facebook post said.
