Cranberry Township man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl

Cranberry Township police

A Cranberry Township man was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in a van last year, according to charges filed by township police Thursday, May 2.

Dakota B. Dore, 28, was charged with felonies statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, filming a sex act, corruption of minors, criminal use of a communication facility and misdemeanor indecent assault after an investigation that began in November.

According to police, a forensic interview conducted with the girl revealed the assault, which allegedly occurred in July in Cranberry Township.

The girl told police she and Dore were in his van, which had a mattress in the rear cargo area, watching a movie. Police said Dore asked the girl, who was 15 years old at the time, to touch him inappropriately. Dore was 27 years old at the time, police said.

Police claim the girl and Dore performed sexual acts on each other while in the van.

Police said Dore and the girl would use the WhatsApp application on their cellphones to have video calls with each other and perform sex acts. In addition, documents showed Dore provided the girl with a PornHub login and password so they could watch pornography.

Police said digital records showed the email account connected to the PornHub site and WhatsApp account were linked to Dore.

During an interview with Dore in January, police said he confirmed owning a van during the alleged assault.

Dore’s preliminary hearing before District Judge Kevin Flaherty has not yet been scheduled.
