A new episode of the “Alter Eagle” podcast — featuring Laura Crago, podcast producer for the Butler Eagle — releases next week.

“Alter Eagle,” an original Butler Eagle podcast, will share more personal stories of addiction in a new episode Monday, May 6.

The podcast currently features episodes exploring addiction and recovery in Butler County — as well as a four-episode miniseries highlighting Butler County issues on Capitol Hill. New episodes release every Monday and are available at alter-eagle.com and major streaming platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

The podcast’s 16th episode features Butler native Julie Hooks sharing her journey through addiction and recovery.

Hooks addresses the stigma surrounding both addiction and sobriety — explaining how a bodybuilding competition helped motivate her recovery.
