Butler symphony’s John Williams concert to feature Grammy Award-winning Lucas Richman

3 individuals will be honored for their time in the symphony, music education

The Butler County Symphony Orchestra will present the final regular concert of its 75th season with a performance featuring musical scores by John Williams from movies such as “Star Wars,” “Superman,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “E.T.” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.

The Grammy-winning guest conductor Lucas Richman has previously led a three-month national summer tour of “Star Wars in Concert” at the invitation of John Williams and has collaborated with numerous film composers.

The Butler County Symphony Association also will honor longtime symphony member and trumpet player James Cunningham with the Butler County Symphony Association Award, violinist and former orchestra member Judy Deahl with the Orchestra Musician Award, and Ryan Gloyer Middle School choir director Chessa Fernandez-Crum with the Outstanding Music Educator Award.
