Applications are being accepted for the Junior Auxiliary Program at Butler Memorial Hospital.

The program is tailored to local high school students interested in pursuing a career in health care. As volunteers, students will be exposed to various departments to learn about different roles and functions in health care. The program aims to provide students with an environment to learn about medical careers, help others, build friendships and give back to the community.

To be eligible to apply, students must be entering grades 10 through 12 this fall.

The program will run from June 9 to Aug. 16 and requires a minimum commitment of 30 hours.

Spaces are limited, and the application deadline is March 31.
